Caparros on the Outcome of the Armenia-Croatia Match
The head coach of the Armenian national football team, Spanish Joaquin Caparros, responded to journalists' questions after a 1-1 draw against the World Cup runners-up, Croatia, in Velika Gorica.
"Of course, we are satisfied with the result, but first and foremost, I am pleased with the commitment of the boys and their actions on the field. The players who had not played much for the national team displayed a very high quality of play—especially considering that the opponent is the World Cup runners-up and one of the favorites for Euro 2020. I congratulate our footballers on this result," said Caparros.
On June 5, the Armenian team will also hold a friendly match against Sweden at the Friends Arena in Stockholm. The game will kick off at 22:45 Yerevan time.
