I Spoke with Henrikh, There is No Disappointment: Pachajyan

Yesterday, the roster of the Armenian national team for the friendly matches against Croatia and Sweden was announced. Notably absent from the list is the team captain and star player Henrikh Mkhitaryan, sparking reactions across the football community.

Former Armenian national team midfielder Levon Pachajyan also responded to this development. Today, he made a second statement on this topic: “I spoke with Henrikh yesterday. The guy approaches such matters like the highest professional. The only thing I wanted to understand from our conversation is whether he feels disappointment or not. There isn’t and cannot be any. There is only a moment of clarification and explanation, which falls into the coach-player domain. This is a normal process in football, no matter how surprising and unexpected such questions may seem to fans.”

Additionally, Pachajyan expressed, “I hope that in the future the team captain will be in his rightful place.”
