Azerbaijanis Constantly Attempt to Provocation, but Fail to Succeed: Situation in Syunik

The situation in the Shurnukh administrative area of the Goris consolidated community in the Syunik region is stable and manageable. Hakob Arshakyan, the head of the Shurnukh administrative district, stated this in an interview with ArmDaily.am.

He noted that while Azerbaijanis have not resorted to provocations, they remain vigilant, as the enemy is just a few meters away. The same situation is noted in the Vorotan administrative area.

Ervand Malunts, the mayor of the village of Khndzoresk, also reported that their area is stable, and the village is living its normal life while not losing its vigilance.

Local community leader Ervand Shadunts emphasized that Azerbaijanis constantly attempt provocations but are unsuccessful. “When they have nothing to do, they resort to provocations; when they are busy, they do not. Our shepherds have rightly responded to their provocations, and everyone should do the same instead of quietly sitting and letting them act. A person should have their own opinion, know how to defend their land, and understand its value,” said Shadunts.

He informed that the villagers have been armed, patrolling the area at night, conducting combat duty, and monitoring their territory.

Georg Parasyan, the head of the Kapan consolidated community, told us that everything is good in their community, the Azerbaijanis have not attempted provocations, and there are no new developments.
