Who, When, Where, and How. Mane Gevorgyan Calls on Ayvazyan to Provide Public Clarification

The spokesperson for the acting Prime Minister of Armenia, Mane Gevorgyan, has responded to Ara Ayvazyan's statement regarding the reasons for his resignation as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

“We thank Mr. Ayvazyan for his work, however, we believe that our state and national interests require that Mr. Ayvazyan publicly clarifies who, when, where, and how he intended to take any action or make a decision that contradicts our country’s state and national interests. We expect that Mr. Ayvazyan will provide such clarification publicly,” Gevorgyan stated in a conversation with Armenpress, commenting on Ayvazyan's announcement.

It is worth recalling that Ara Ayvazyan announced during his farewell meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 31, “I have accepted this decision with great difficulty, but when I took on this position, I had a standard. This ministry, which is a product of independence, must unwaveringly defend our sovereignty, our independence, and our state and national interests. I hope I have not left you in shame, and my decision to resign was based precisely on that reason, so that there is never any doubt that this ministry can take any steps or agree to any ideas, initiatives that have been against our statehood, our national and state interests.”
