Lilith Makunts on the Reasons Behind Ara Ayvazyan's Resignation
During the Security Council meeting on May 27, the proposal made by Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to withdraw troops from the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and deploy international observers there was not a surprise for Acting Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan. This was stated by Lilith Makunts, the head of the 'My Step' faction, during a press briefing held in parliament today, in response to a question about the possible reasons for Ayvazyan's resignation.
“Before the Security Council meeting, the Prime Minister informed the Foreign Minister about the content of the declaration, and the minister did not raise any objections regarding it. As for the other potential reasons, I cannot say anything because I do not know,” said Makunts.
