The American diplomatic mission specifically stated: "The U.S. is concerned about the recent developments along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, as well as the capture of several Armenian soldiers by the Azerbaijani armed forces. We urge both sides to resolve this incident peacefully, and we call on Azerbaijan to release all captives immediately."
