Turkey Transfers 5 Mine Clearance Machines to Azerbaijan

Turkey has transferred five units of mechanical mine clearance machines (MEMATT) to Azerbaijan. This was reported by the Anadolu Agency, citing the Turkish Ministry of Defense.

The MEMATT mine clearing machine was developed by the Turkish Military Factory and Shipyard Operation.

“The personnel of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have completed the operational training for MEMATT and received the corresponding certificates. Media representatives attended the handover ceremony. The MEMATT has successfully carried out the tasks of neutralizing anti-personnel and anti-tank mines,” the statement said.
