Government Allocates Land in Kapan, Meghri, and Tegh Communities to Russian FSB
On May 27, the government adopted a decision titled "On Accepting Property as a Donation, Securing Property, and Allocating Property for Free Use," due to the need to strengthen the protection of the southeastern borders of the Republic of Armenia. According to this decision, the Republic of Armenia will accept the land plots donated by the Kapan, Meghri, and Tegh communities and, along with other properties owned by the Republic of Armenia, will secure them with the State Property Management Committee and allocate them for free use to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) border management department stationed in Armenia.
The justification states that there is a need to strengthen the southeastern borders of Armenia as a result of the trilateral statement signed on November 9, 2020, and for this purpose, necessary land plots have been identified.
