Disorganization of Armed Forces, Chief of Staff Must Be Held Accountable: Taguhi Tovmasyan

If you do not want to defend yourself, no one else will do it for you. We can turn to the CSTO, the UN, and various organizations, but what will that give us if we do not take all necessary steps for our own defense?

This was stated by independent MP Taguhi Tovmasyan during a conversation with journalists.

“It is already ridiculous; we do not defend ourselves and expect others to come and defend us while we act annoyed. That is not appropriate. If there is a number one target here, it is the disorganization of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, and the Chief of Staff must be held accountable for today's violations of our borders. He must be held accountable for allowing representatives of the Azerbaijani armed forces inside our country while he has not properly carried out his duties,” Tovmasyan stated.

She noted that the government’s approach is to shift the blame onto others. “If we have opened our hearts, our souls, and even our doors to the Azerbaijani armed forces, it is inevitable that one day they will come. This is what I wanted to prevent with my question, to raise awareness,” the MP said.
