Photos: Firefighting Operations Continue for the 4th Day at Masis City Landfill

Firefighting teams from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been conducting firefighting operations and monitoring at the landfill in Masis city for four consecutive days. Today, on May 26, at 09:32, three fire brigades were dispatched to continue firefighting operations.

It should be noted that on May 22, the Ararat regional crisis management center received information about a fire that had broken out at the landfill in Masis city, necessitating the assistance of firefighters and rescuers to conduct remediation work. Two firefighting brigades from the regional rescue department were sent to the scene.

It was determined that waste was burning over an area of approximately 2 hectares. Additionally, two firefighting brigades from the Yerevan City Rescue Department were also sent to the location. Fire suppression efforts at the site were supported by two bulldozers and one water truck from the landfill.
