Khachatour Sukiasyan is Not a Businessman, Says Alen Simonyan

The Vice President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, responded to a journalist's question from the "Aravot" newspaper, stating, "Khachatour Sukiasyan is not a businessman." The journalist then asked, "What about Gurgen Arsenyan, is he not a businessman either?"

Simonyan replied, "When was the last time you saw them engaged in business activities? They are wealthy individuals." When reminded that Sukiasyan was briefly involved in politics in 2008, the Vice President inquired, "What has he been doing since then?" The answer was clear - business, with his own enterprises, including the 'Sil Group.' However, Alen Simonyan disagreed, asking if Sukiasyan was actually making decisions or was a bank director.

In response to the observation that this could also apply to Gagik Tsarukyan, the Vice President was asked why he criticized Tsarukyan. Simonyan answered, "When have we criticized Tsarukyan? He is a major owner. People like Khachatour and Gurgen Arsenyan should be more numerous."
