Injured Soldiers Lack Disability Status, Receive Only 25,500 Dram Pension – Sofia Hovsepyan

The Ministry of Defense had promised that a decision would be made in February-March to grant disability status to all injured soldiers, with subsequent examinations to determine whether their injuries were a result of the war or due to fleeing. However, until now, soldiers who have been injured continue to be classified under civilian disability status, which provides a pension of only 25,500 drams at most. This was stated by MP Sofia Hovsepyan during a session of the National Assembly.

The MP also raised another issue, noting that she receives calls every day from regions regarding the use of property by legal entities and compensation for damages during the war. 'Almost several dozen vehicles were damaged during the war, and for many, they were a source of daily bread. I regularly send the issue to the Ministry of Defense, and the response is that soon an inter-agency commission will be established by the decision of the Prime Minister. The government's decision is delayed. MoD, MoD employees, you are slow in all matters; at least address these issues if you cannot solve safety concerns,' Hovsepyan said. More details can be found in the video.
