Armenians Assaulted Azerbaijani Senior Military Officer Days Ago, Now Enemy Snipers Seek to Target Armenian Soldier
According to LURER.com, an incident occurred today between Armenian and Azerbaijani servicemen in the border area of Verin Shorja, Gegharkunik Province, leading to the fatal shooting of Armenian contracted soldier V. Khurshudyan, 32, as a result of crossfire with the enemy.
Our sources indicate that days ago, 200 Azerbaijani soldiers crossed into the territory of Armenia, after which Armenian soldiers reportedly assaulted them. Among them was a senior Azerbaijani military officer who allegedly memorized the face of the soldier who assaulted him, and now numerous Azerbaijani snipers from their positions are trying to target the Armenian soldier. This has become the motive for today’s gunfire, which resulted in the death of the Armenian serviceman.
As previously reported, the fallen soldier was from the village of Zod in the Ararat Province. Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia announced that the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire near the village of Verin Shorja. The incident took place on May 25 at around 14:20 in the border area. Specifically, the enemy fired at Armenian positions. However, the Ministry of Defense had not provided any information regarding the fallen soldier at the time, and later confirmed our information.
