Shooting in Yerevan: A Citizen Transferred to Hospital with Gunshot Wound from Norq-Marash
A few moments ago, gunshots were heard in Yerevan. Around 18:00, a citizen with a gunshot wound was transferred to the number 1 university hospital.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, an operational group from the central division of the police arrived at the hospital, led by division chief Arman Papyan and deputy division chief for operational matters Ervand Nikoyan.
The deputy head of the police department of Yerevan, Arthur Zakaryan, and the head of the criminal investigation department of the same division, Hovhannes Aristakesyan, also arrived at the hospital.
Doctors informed the police that the injured person, who sustained an injury to the left side of his abdomen, is unable to provide an explanation about the incident.
Based on operational data, the police have determined that the injured individual was transferred to the hospital from 6th street in Norq-Marash, and he is 61-year-old Lavrent Arushanyan.
At this moment, police are conducting an examination of the crime scene and are also clarifying the circumstances of the incident.
