Military Exercises Involving 4 Nations Launched in Turkey

Military exercises have commenced in Turkey with the participation of representatives from the USA, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Slovakia, and the occupied territories of Cyprus. Sabah reports that the 'Anatolian International Phoneix-2021 exercises' are being held in Konya province and will continue until June 4.

Turkey's Air Force will be participating with F-16 fighter jets, E-7T surveillance aircraft, ANKA-S drones, Casa CN-235 planes, as well as AS-532 and T-129 helicopters. Azerbaijan has leased a Mi-17 helicopter and three operational groups, while Qatar has sent Agusta AW-139 helicopters and C-130 and C-17 transport planes to Konya. From the occupied territories of Cyprus, an AS-532 helicopter and one combat unit have been dispatched, while Slovakia and the USA have sent dispatching personnel to join the 'friendly exercises.'
