If a Citizen Refuses to Remove the Mask, Their Identification Will Not Be Entered into the Technical Equipment: New Decision by the CEC
Today, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) held an extraordinary meeting and made a decision regarding the identification of voters.
According to the CEC's resolution, it has been established that during the voting for the extraordinary parliamentary elections scheduled for June 20, the identity of the voter must be verified through the photograph on the presented document. A specialist will require the voter to remove their medical mask or any other personal protective equipment that makes identification impossible. "If the voter refuses to remove the mask or any other personal protective equipment that makes identification impossible, the specialist will not enter the presented document into the technical equipment and will immediately inform the chairperson of the commission, who will then invite the voter to leave the polling station," the CEC's decision states.
During the meeting, the CEC also transferred envelopes containing individual codes corresponding to the number of voters voting electronically in the extraordinary parliamentary elections on June 20 to representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense for distribution to recipients. A total of 650 citizens are included in the list of voters voting electronically in the extraordinary parliamentary elections. The list has been published on the CEC's official website.
