Caparros Announces National Team Roster

23 footballers, including 5 newcomers: The head coach of the Armenian national team, Joaquin Caparros, has announced the list of players called up for the Armenian national team. The information was provided by the press service of the Football Federation of Armenia.

For the first time, goalkeeper Arman Nersesyan from FC BKMA, defenders Albert Khachumyan and Davit Terteryan from FC Ararat-Armenia, midfielder Davit Davidian from FC Alashkert, and forward Karen Melkonyan from FC Urartu have been called up to the national team.

“Several key players are absent from the list this time. We know these players very well, we have high hopes for them and value their role, but this time we decided to give them an opportunity to rest and see a few young players in action. I believe there will be no better opportunity for them. We have invited those players who have performed well in the domestic championship and we want to test their abilities against the strong national teams of Croatia and Sweden,” Caparros stated.
