Ayvazyan Meets with Ambassadors of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Countries and Emphasizes the Urgency of Azerbaijani Armed Forces Leaving Armenian Territory
On May 24, Ara Ayvazyan, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, hosted ambassadors of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries in Armenia: Sergey Kopirkin (Russia), Jonathan Lacôte (France), and Lynn Tracy (USA). This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The discussion addressed the broader context of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as well as issues of regional security and peace. Central to the meeting was the situation created in the border regions of Armenia due to the penetration of Azerbaijani armed forces into the sovereign territory of Armenia. The Acting Minister outlined the latest developments, reaffirming Armenia’s readiness to resolve the issue through political and diplomatic means.
Acting Minister Ayvazyan deemed any manifestation of encroachment on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia unacceptable, emphasizing the urgent need for Azerbaijani armed forces to leave Armenian territory unconditionally to avoid further aggravation of the situation. The interlocutors exchanged views on the steps being taken in the current context.
