Armenian Police Chief Vahe Ghazaryan Received 6.8 Million Dram Bonus in 2020
Armenian Police Chief Vahe Ghazaryan was awarded a bonus of 6.8 million dram in 2020. This information was reported by Tert.am, citing the Corruption Prevention Commission.
According to the police chief’s annual declaration for 2020, he has 10 million dram and $8,500 in cash. As for his salary, Ghazaryan stated that it was 16 million 324 thousand dram.
Based on the 'Law on Remuneration of Individuals Holding State Positions' in Armenia, the salary coefficient of the police chief is 793,680 dram per month. Hence, it appears that the police chief's salary amounts to 9 million 524 thousand dram, with the remaining 6 million 800 thousand dram being his bonus.
In 2020, according to the declaration, the police chief did not acquire any real estate or movable property. In 2013, he received a residential house as a gift in the Tavush region's Getahovit community, and he is a co-owner of an apartment purchased in 2005 in Ijevan.
