14 Dead in Cable Car Accident in Italy
In the Piedmont region of Italy, the number of fatalities from a cable car crash has reached 14. According to the Italian news channel Rainews24, the incident occurred on Sunday. The cable car, operating at an altitude of around 1500 meters, connects the town of Stresa with Mount Mottarone.
Reports indicate that there were 10 people on board the cable car at the time of the accident. The crash took place just 100 meters below the mountain summit.
Rescue services are currently working at the scene of the incident. Two injured individuals have been transported to a hospital in Turin.
