Video: Over 250 Cannabis Plants Discovered in Homes of Ejmiadzin Residents

On May 19, officers from the Vagarshapat division of the police's juvenile and family violence prevention department, acting on operational information, discovered 21 cannabis plants in one of the houses on Yesayan Street in Ejmiadzin.

According to the 27-year-old resident of the house, he had grown and cared for the plants for the purpose of producing drugs.

On May 20, detectives from the division received operational information that a resident of Geghakert village was cultivating cannabis. In the 60-year-old man's plot of land and greenhouse, 237 cannabis plants were found. The man claimed that he had sown and tended to them himself.

Expert examinations have been appointed. The circumstances are being clarified.
