Video: 30-Year-Old Woman Beats Her Children in Yerevan, Burns 2-Year-Old Daughter's Wrists on Stove
As a result of measures taken by the Malatya division of the police's juvenile affairs and family violence prevention department, cases of child torture and attempted exploitation through violence have been revealed based on operational information.
Specifically, it has been established that a 30-year-old woman living in Yerevan not only failed to properly care for and raise her children but also beat them, even burning her 2-year-old daughter's wrists on the stove.
Another 53-year-old woman from the Kotayk region, who has been convicted five times on various charges, forced her daughter to beg in the capital. The girl refused, and despite being subjected to violence by her mother on the street, she managed to escape from her mother, who was under the influence of alcohol.
It was found that the 53-year-old woman also committed violence against her children at home. Additionally, a 33-year-old man living in Yerevan, previously convicted, regularly beat the son of a woman with whom he had a common-law relationship for various reasons, creating a climate of fear and causing severe psychological suffering.
Criminal cases have been initiated concerning these incidents. Charges have been filed against the man and the mentioned women. The officers of the juvenile affairs and family violence prevention department of the Malatya police transferred the minors to the children's support center of the HOFD.
