63-Year-Old Man Stabs 38-Year-Old in Conflict in Gyumri

On May 17, 2021, at 22:40, a report was received at the Mush police station of the Shirak regional division of the RA police from the Gyumri Medical Center regarding a 38-year-old man who sought medical assistance with stab wounds.

The Investigative Committee states that a criminal case has been initiated by the Shirak regional investigative department under part 1 of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code (deliberately inflicting serious harm to health). An examination of the crime scene has been conducted, evidence has been seized, and several individuals have been interrogated.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the man sustained his injuries around 21:00 on the same day during a dispute over household issues with a 63-year-old compatriot near one of the buildings on Shirakatsy Street in Gyumri.

The 63-year-old man has been arrested and has provided an admission of guilt. The investigation is ongoing, and measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances surrounding the incident.
