Efforts Are Being Made to Alleviate Tensions and Rectify the Situation at the Border: Peskov on Putin's Position

Russian President Vladimir Putin is convinced that there is no alternative to the implementation of the trilateral agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, during a conversation with journalists, as reported by TASS.

“The president is confident that there is no alternative to the fulfillment of the trilateral agreements, and currently, vigorous efforts are being made to ease the tensions and rectify the situation at the border,” said the Kremlin representative.

Peskov found it difficult to respond to the question of whether Putin received the letter from Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan regarding military assistance. He noted that “these issues have been discussed many times during bilateral communications.”

According to Peskov, Russia is in constant contact with Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the resolution of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
