A Massive Fig Branch Falls on a Car in Ararat

On May 17, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Ararat region. At approximately 14:35 on Charents Street in the village of Avshar, a large branch of a fig tree broke off and fell onto a parked Opel vehicle.

According to preliminary information, there were no injuries reported, as noted by shamshayan.com. Sources indicate that rescuers, with the assistance of local villagers, used special equipment to cut up the tree and safely remove the car.

The traffic police temporarily halted traffic on the street to allow rescuers to perform their work. Senior inspector Siamanto Khudoyan of the community police is preparing materials regarding the incident.

Police have identified that the vehicle belongs to Mayis Baboyan, a resident of the same house.
