‘The People Are in a Combat Mood, Our Spirits Are High’: Leader of the Nerkin Khandzor village

Everything is normal in Nerkin Khandzor. We are busy with our work. This was stated by Yervand Malunts, the head of the border village in the Syunik region, in an interview with ArmLur.am.

‘The people are in a combat mood, our spirits are high. I do not have any updates from Verishen; I am occupied with the work on the new water line,’ our interlocutor noted.

It is noteworthy that the continuation of the interrupted negotiations with the Azerbaijani forces that invaded Armenian territory will take place today at 3:00 PM. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia reports that following the incursions by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces into certain border areas of the Syunik and Gegharkunik regions of the Republic of Armenia under the pretext of ‘border adjustments’ on May 12 and 13, the situation has not yet changed.
