Russian Defense Ministry: No Provocative Actions Against Russian Peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh
Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh continue to ensure the maintenance of the ceasefire regime, monitoring, and the transport of food and various cargoes through the Lachin corridor along the demarcation line of the parties.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, there have been no violations of the ceasefire regime or provocative actions against Russian servicemen in the peacekeeping contingent’s area of responsibility over the past week.
“All observation posts of the Russian peacekeeping contingent are equipped with 'Blockpost' fortification structures, designed to protect servicemen from small arms fire and shrapnel, as well as to carry out circular surveillance of the surrounding area,” the ministry's statement reads.
It is also noted that the personnel of the Russian peacekeeping contingent's observation posts are systematically conducting combat training activities and exercises to prevent violations.
