One Person Arrested on Suspicion of Hooliganism, Seven Others Subject to Alternative Measures

On May 14, 2021, the investigative department of the Syunik regional office of the RA Investigative Committee accepted a criminal case initiated under part 3, point 1 of Article 258 of the RA Criminal Code. The investigation revealed that on the same day at around 3:30 PM, a group of individuals, demonstrating open disrespect towards residents of the community and participants in traffic, grossly violated public order, which was accompanied by acts of violence against individuals. This was reported by the RA Investigative Committee.

One person has been arrested on suspicion of hooliganism, while alternative measures in the form of a signature not to leave have been applied to the other seven supporters.

A number of individuals have been interrogated in the criminal case, forensic examinations have been appointed, and the investigative body has been instructed accordingly. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
