Missiles Launched from Syria Towards Israel
The Israeli Defense Forces' press service announced via Twitter that three missiles were launched towards Israel from Syrian territory. It was noted that one of the projectiles fell in the territory of the Arab Republic. However, according to reports from Sky News Arabia, all three missiles hit 'open terrain.'
Recall that unrest in Jerusalem began on May 7. Clashes between Arab youth and the police erupted on the evening of May 8 and continued to spread around the Temple Mount and Al-Aqsa Mosque area. They reached their peak on May 10 when Jews celebrate Jerusalem Day. Since the beginning of the clashes, more than 1,800 rockets have been launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israel. 850 rockets crossed the Israeli border, while another 200 fell within the Gaza Strip. During the clashes, there have been casualties and injuries, including among the civilian population. The Israeli army announced that it had eliminated key figures in Hamas intelligence, including the head of Hamas's military intelligence security division and his deputy.
