Immediate Formation of Crisis Government, Declaration of Martial Law, Postponement of Elections: Edgar Ghazaryan

The former head of the Constitutional Court's staff, Edgar Ghazaryan, observes that the fact that Armenia has, for the first time in history, appealed to the CSTO, requested military assistance from Russia, and expressed willingness for France to discuss the issue at the UN Security Council meeting has all been based on merely an incident involving a shepherd from Syunik who happened to see an Azerbaijani soldier and engaged in a dispute with them.

According to him, the National Security Service, responsible for border protection, is occupied with matters of no less significance. For example, in Gyumri, social service employees are dealing with the alleged bribery of 50,000 drams in exchange for Merci chocolate and 3-star Ararat brandy, while they are mitigating national security threats. Meanwhile, the Armed Forces General Staff and the administrative court are busy figuring out who the head of the staff is and who their deputy is. Investigative bodies are hunting for culprits among the remaining soldiers of the army in thousands of cases.

In contrast to this, we learn from Armenian media about the continuous construction of new Azerbaijani military units near the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, their ongoing work on border control and the establishment of engineering structures.

Ghazaryan also emphasizes that the Azerbaijanis are busy fortifying their borders at our expense, and dominating positions over our territories, while we have left the issue of the security of Artsakh and the return of prisoners in the hands of the Russian peacekeepers, and are focusing on what? The struggle for power through elections. According to the former official, Armenia does not need elections.

“Armenia needs only one vital choice: the traitor must be expelled, the traitor must be punished, an immediate formation of a crisis government must occur, martial law must be declared, and the extraordinary elections of the National Assembly must be postponed,” he stated. “All political forces, organizations, and citizens must urgently concentrate their efforts in that direction. Elections will further deepen the crisis that is destroying us day by day.”

Ghazaryan insists that operational management must proceed in a state of emergency. Every minute wasted is catastrophic.
