Azerbaijani Armed Forces Are Entering Your Territory, Where Is Your Army Standing Opposite, and If This Army Is Not There, Where Are the Punished Ones? – Karen Bekaryan

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces are entering your territory. Now I ask the first question: where is your army standing opposite, and if this army is not there, if this territory is unprotected, then where are the punished ones? Where is the criminal case initiated by the Prosecutor General's Office? This was stated today by public and political figure Karen Bekaryan in an interview with Lilit Tumanyan, discussing the situation at the border, the invasion of Azerbaijani groups into Armenia, and the actions of the authorities.

According to Bekaryan, the entire situation raises the question of where the responsible parties are. “It is clear that honor and dignity have long been lost, it is clear that state bodies are enslaved. Today, we are dealing with an occupying regime, an occupying regime in our own territory, because in a situation like this, when we look at what everyone is engaged in, we see that nothing is in its place,” he noted.

The politician pointed out that yesterday's extraordinary session of the National Assembly, where the issue of the Azerbaijani groups' invasion of Syunik was discussed, actually showed that it was a mockery and the people should be grateful that Azerbaijani groups have come to our territory, but no clashes occurred. “In other words, they want to say, 'Well, isn’t it clear that we don’t want to give, if we wanted to, we would,'” he added, recalling that despite the tense situation in the country, Prime Minister Pashinyan was receiving the Prime Minister of Georgia, and what was happening at the border did not change any protocol, and no priority was altered.

Regarding the appeal to the CSTO, Bekaryan emphasized that the same scenario is repeating, which existed during the 44-day war. “In the first days of the war, there was an encroachment on Armenia's sovereign territories, shells were exploding, drones were flying, etc., but there was no bilateral appeal to the Armenian-Russian side, nor was there any appeal to the CSTO, and the Russian side also stated that terrorists had been brought in, but no anti-terrorist operations were conducted.”
