We Don't Want Troops from CSTO, We Have Our Own Troops: Marukyan on the Content of Articles 2 and 4

Edmon Marukyan has stated that Azerbaijan is once again violating the trilateral statement of November 9, which stipulates that the parties remain in their occupied positions after the war. This was announced today by the leader of the National Assembly's 'Enlightened Armenia' faction.

Marukyan emphasized that provocations against Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity should not be tolerated by either our country or the CSTO. He deemed the decision to appeal to the CSTO as justified since the situation could also lead to new escalation.

'By studying the document, I have come to the conclusion that the Armenian side did not want to fire all its bullets. We have only fired the bullet of Article 2, not Article 4. This means that we do not want troops from the CSTO; we have our own troops. If necessary, we will intervene with our troops. When it escalates, naturally, Article 4 will start to apply in light of our application. But we have appealed to inform that this is a threat of the use of force, and if the issue is not resolved, there could be unpredictable consequences or very predictable ones: escalation, new military conflict on the territory of Armenia, and within the CSTO territory,' said Edmon Marukyan.
