The U.S. Will Ensure Israel's Military Superiority: Pentagon on Israel-Palestine Conflict Escalation
The U.S. believes that Israel has the right to self-defense in its conflict with Palestine, for which it will ensure its military superiority. This was stated on the official Pentagon website.
It was noted that during a meeting at the Pentagon, Israel's Director of the Political and Military Affairs Bureau, Zohar Palti, and U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs Colin Kahl "condemned the terrorist acts against Israeli civilians and emphasized the United States' support for Israel's right to self-defense," said a statement from the American Department of Defense.
Kahl emphasized the "U.S. Department of Defense's ongoing support for Israel's qualitative military superiority," as well as the administration's hopes for the restoration of peace.
U.S. President Joe Biden told reporters that he does not consider Israel's attacks on positions of the Palestinian Hamas movement to be "excessively harsh," as they are in response to missile attacks on Israeli territory.
