Operators of the Armavir Penitentiary Discover Substance Resembling Heroin in Inmate's Delivery

Employees of the Armavir penitentiary institution under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, acting on operational information, subjected the parcel delivered by the brother of the detained person A. G., named V. G., to examination using an X-ray machine around 11:15 AM on May 14. During the inspection, a substance weighing 1.34 grams resembling heroin was discovered hidden inside one of the cigarette packs of the "Akhtamar" brand, mixed with tobacco.

The Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia informed that materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been scheduled.
