Negotiations Halted Today: Pashinyan Provides Details
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, announced during an extraordinary session of the National Assembly that he has sent a letter to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, requesting that Russia provide military assistance to Armenia in accordance with the 1997 Agreement on Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance.
Pashinyan emphasized that this action was taken after high-level agreements were reached, under which Azerbaijan was supposed to withdraw its troops from Armenia's sovereign territory; however, these agreements have only been partially fulfilled.
