May 14: 32 More Residents with Intestinal Symptoms Discovered in Sisian, Ministry of Health
As of May 14, one patient has been discharged from the Sisian Medical Center. On the same day, a community visit resulted in the discovery of an additional 32 residents exhibiting intestinal symptoms, with three of them being hospitalized. This information was announced by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
In total, the Sisian community has recorded 402 cases showing symptoms characteristic of intestinal infections, of which 373 are from the under-18 age group and 29 are adults. All patients have shown symptoms typical of intestinal infectious diseases since the outbreak began.
Currently, nine patients are hospitalized at the Sisian Medical Center, with their condition being assessed as satisfactory with positive developments. Water sampling is continuously being conducted. The testing results indicate an improvement in water quality; however, in some areas, the water quality still does not meet established norms.
