VIDEO: Homes Searched, Firearms and Drugs Discovered in Police Investigation
On May 11, information was received at the Mush Division of the police that two residents of Gyumri, living on Madoyan and Halabyan streets, were in possession of illegal weapons and drugs. Criminal cases were initiated, prompting searches on May 12.
During a search at the home of a 41-year-old resident on Halabyan Street, an industrially numbered double-barreled shotgun and various calibers of ammunition were discovered.
A search at the residence of a 24-year-old on Madoyan Street resulted in the finding of a pistol, a magazine for a Makarov pistol, rifle cartridges, approximately half a kilogram of substance resembling marijuana, cannabis seeds, and 85 stems of the same plant, along with 980 grams of dried matter of the same species and more.
The illegal weapons and substances discovered in the apartments have been seized. Examinations have been ordered. The circumstances are under investigation.
