Russia Disappointed with Germany
Russia is disappointed with the behavior of Germany, the current president of the European Council. Berlin has sought to act as a leader of anti-Russian forces rather than as a representative of a pan-European organization. This assessment was made by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, regarding Germany's political stance, as reported by TASS.
“We are disappointed with Germany's presidency in this organization, under which this attack on our country was organized. For a whole six months, Berlin has behaved not as a leader of a pan-European organization, but as a forerunner of anti-Russian forces, prioritizing the coalition's interests over the statutory purpose of the European Council, which is to strengthen unity among its members,” Zakharova stated.
