Georgia Plans to Open Land Borders

The Georgian authorities intend to open land borders in the coming weeks. This was announced by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Natia Turnava.

“Overall, it is planned to open the land borders, but this should be after the end of the third wave. Most likely, it is a matter of a few weeks,” Turnava said.

Georgia's land and sea borders have been closed since March 2020. Travel by air to neighboring countries has been possible since February 1 of this year.
