1600 Rockets Fired Towards Israel
In recent days, 1600 rockets have been fired towards Israel from the Gaza Strip. This has been reported by the Israeli armed forces, according to RIA Novosti.
According to the BBC, the escalation of the Arab-Israeli conflict has resulted in the deaths of 67 Palestinians and 7 Israelis, with dozens more injured.
It should be noted that unrest in Jerusalem began on May 7. Clashes broke out between Arab youth and police on the evening of May 8, and continued to spread in the area of the Temple Mount and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. They reached their peak on May 10, when Jews celebrate Jerusalem Day.
Since the start of the clashes, more than 1600 rockets have been fired from Gaza towards Israel. 850 rockets crossed into Israeli territory, while another 200 fell within the Gaza Strip.
During the clashes, there have been casualties and injuries, including among the civilian population. The Israeli army has stated that it has eliminated key figures in Hamas intelligence, including the head and deputy head of Hamas’s military intelligence security division.
