Request to Detain 2 Employees of the Central Administrative District Submitted: Abrahamyan

As part of the criminal case initiated due to the incident that took place yesterday at the office of the Central Administrative District of Yerevan, charges have been brought against the acting head of the district, A. A., under the second part of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, and against the chief specialist of the communal department of the same district, A. D., under the fourth part of Article 258 of the Criminal Code.

Gor Abrahamyan, advisor to the Prosecutor General, announced on his Facebook page that a motion has been submitted by the prosecuting body to the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, requesting the detention of the two defendants as a measure of restraint. He also noted that necessary investigative and other procedural actions aimed at identifying all individuals who allegedly committed the crime are ongoing under proper prosecutorial supervision.
