No Serviceman Admitted to Sisian Hospital for Intestinal Poisoning, Says Samvel Asatryan
No serviceman has been admitted to the Sisian hospital for intestinal poisoning. This was stated to NEWS.am by Colonel Samvel Asatryan, head of the Information Division of the Organizational Department of the Armed Forces General Staff.
"Today and yesterday, no serviceman has been admitted to the Zangezur garrison (Sisian) hospital for intestinal infection, poisoning, or gunshot wounds," said Colonel Asatryan, adding that all military hospitals are currently performing their daily functions, receiving and serving those who come in. "Planned examinations for servicemen from nearby units are also being conducted."
It should be noted that reports circulated in the media indicating that a group of servicemen had been transferred to the Sisian hospital after being poisoned by contaminated water or sustaining injuries from an incident with Azerbaijanis in the Ishkhanasar direction.
Recall that a mass poisoning event has occurred in Sisian. In the past three days, 296 cases with symptoms characteristic of intestinal infections have been recorded. It was discovered that there was an accident in the city’s water supply system, causing the citizens to be poisoned from the water.
