Charges Filed Against Deputy Mayor of Center District for Assault Incident

The deputy mayor of the Center administrative district, Armen Azizyan, and municipal employee Arman Davoyan have been charged in connection with an assault that occurred yesterday at the municipal office.

According to the press office of the Armenian Prosecutor’s Office, Armen Azizyan is charged under Article 309, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code (exceeding official powers with violence, the use of weapons or special means), while the other participant in the incident is charged under Article 258, Part 4 (hooliganism that resulted in moderate harm to an individual’s health).

As reported earlier, an altercation erupted yesterday between Deputy Mayor Armen Azizyan and a municipal employee.
