28-Year-Old Man Who Fired into the Air in Vedi Arrested

On May 11, information was received at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Erebuni Police that an unidentified individual had arrived at the yard of building 4 on Nar-Dosi Street in an undetermined vehicle, fired an automatic weapon into the air, and departed.

Upon investigation at the scene, 14 cartridges of 7.62 mm caliber were discovered.

Police officers from the Erebuni Department, in collaboration with investigators from the Yerevan City Police, identified that the individual who fired into the air from the automatic weapon was a 28-year-old man residing in Vedi city. Thanks to the explanatory work of the police, he presented himself at the Erebuni Police Station, bringing the weapon along.

The man has been arrested. The automatic weapon has been confiscated. A forensic examination has been ordered. An investigation is underway.
