07 Crashes into a Truck Belonging to the Ministry of Defense

On May 11, a major traffic accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

At around 21:00, a collision took place on the 81st km of the Sevan-Martuni-Vardenis highway between a Hino truck driven by 53-year-old Mher Ghazaryan, a resident of the Ararat region, and a VAZ 2107 car driven by 34-year-old Karen Galstyan, a resident of Gegharkunik. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the driver of the VAZ and his passenger, 39-year-old Gagik Verdyan from Gegharkunik, were transported to the 'Martuni' medical center with bodily injuries.

It was revealed that driver M. Ghazaryan is serving in the Ministry of Defense's military unit N, and the truck is also registered to the Ministry of Defense. Therefore, personnel from the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense arrived on the scene.

Investigative materials are being prepared by investigator Movsesyan of the RA Police regarding the incident.
