"I Must Hunt". Mother of Kazan Terrorist Provides Testimony
The mother of 19-year-old Ilnaz Galyaviev from Kazan, whose son opened fire on former classmates and teachers at his school, has given her first testimony to investigators. She stated that she had no idea about her son's intentions and that he had acquired the weapon used in the massacre two weeks prior. The mother opposed the acquisition of the weapon, but was unable to do anything; every time she inquired about her son's plans regarding the weapon, he refused to respond. "Don't interfere, I must hunt," he told her.
The child's father has also claimed that he knew nothing. The same was asserted by his friends and classmates, who described the terrorist as a calm, non-conflictual, and peaceful boy. Shortly after the attack, Galyaviev made several posts on his social media page, declaring himself a god whose purpose is to eliminate "bio-waste." He also spoke of his "divine mission" at the time of his arrest.
It should be noted that the terrorist attack at the school resulted in the deaths of 10 people.
