Brawl Between State Officials: Ani Khachatryan Responds, Citizens of Yerevan Await Mayor Hayk Marutyan's Reaction
Member of the Yerevan Council from the "Light" faction Ani Khachatryan addressed the brawl that occurred today, May 11, between the deputy mayor and the head of the urban planning and land use department at the Center administrative district building.
"The 'street settlement' that took place today in the Center district building is quite similar to the culture of resolving issues through force that has been established in Armenia for years. Today, our nation has no right, after so many losses, and standing against so many problems, to allow even citizens to resolve their issues using the brutal and irrational methods of wild tribes, especially this should not happen within state bodies. Today, the psychological state of the Armenian nation needs to see that conscious and responsible people are working in state institutions, and for this reason, those responsible and guilty in today's incident must face punishment to the fullest extent of the law. I have previously addressed some of the participants in the brawl, I have warned them, but no one listened.
Note: Mayor Hayk Marutyan, the citizens of Yerevan are awaiting your reaction," Khachatryan wrote on her Facebook page, sharing photos from the scene of the brawl.
It should be noted that this morning, a brawl took place between Manvel Margaryan, the head of the urban planning and land use department, and Armen Azizyan, the deputy head of the administrative district. They have been arrested.
