Fatal Pedestrian Accident Occurs in Yerevan

A fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan today. Around 5:00 PM, a 37-year-old resident of Yerevan, Vahe P., struck a pedestrian, 56-year-old Liza G., with his Opel vehicle on Vilnius Street, as reported by shamshyan.com.

The driver did not flee the scene and transported the injured pedestrian, whom he hit while reversing, to the "Saint Grigor Lusavorich" medical center. Unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries on the way.

Vahe P. then reported the incident to the Yerevan Traffic Police Operations Management Center. He also underwent a sobriety test, which confirmed that he was sober at the time of the accident.
