Levon Zurabyan: In reality, it was Nikol Pashinyan who executed a bandit-style revolution in Armenia

Levon Zurabyan stated that in reality, it was Nikol Pashinyan who executed a bandit-style revolution in Armenia. Speaking with the mourners at the Yerablur Pantheon today, he said, “They say, how can one forget the March 1 case and collaborate with those people, but you see, Serge Sargsyan could not close the chapter on March 1, while Nikol Pashinyan did, and he did it in such a way that it will not be reopened. We said that the Constitutional Court would justify Robert Kocharyan with its current composition, and that radical steps must be taken to change the composition of the Constitutional Court to prevent closing the chapter on March 1. But only half-hearted reforms were made, stretching over the years, and eventually, as a result of all those reforms, Robert Kocharyan was justified with an 8-0 score. Now do you want to say that this was outside of Pashinyan’s will?”

Zurabyan emphasized that Nikol Pashinyan once made a democratic revolution, but it later became clear that the outcome of that revolution would be bandit-style governance. “He is to blame that Robert Kocharyan appears as a figure of a perfect human being,” he said.

Before the elections, the Armenian National Congress party continues discussions, work, and negotiations with various political forces, but they do not yet have a final decision. According to him, it is possible to go alone, possibly with an alliance, or not go at all—anything is possible.

Addressing the current situation, Zurabyan noted that this disastrous administration has produced the results we currently see. “One does not learn to pilot an airplane in the air; they learn on the ground before starting to fly. Learning to pilot an airplane in the air leads to such results. We have a completely inadequate leader who, along with his entire team, is incapable of management. If after all this, someone still needs evidence, then that is a problem for those people,” Levon Zurabyan stated.

Zurabyan remarked that what Levon Ter-Petrosyan did with his last two statements was an attempt to gather all capable forces in the country to solve the issue. The proposal was very simple: neither Kocharyan, nor Sargsyan, nor Ter-Petrosyan should occupy any state position. “If the issue is that many defend Nikol Pashinyan to prevent the criminals Robert Kocharyan and Serge Sargsyan from coming to power, then with that resolution, such a prospect became unattainable and paved the way for Nikol Pashinyan’s removal from this leadership,” said Levon Zurabyan. From that proposal, he noted, it became clear who is ready to sacrifice their aspirations for power for the sake of the homeland and who is not.
