Publications Regarding the Destruction of the Graveyards of Taghavard and Mets Tagher Villages Sent to Artsakh Police

The reports concerning the destruction of the graveyards in the villages of Taghavard and Mets Tagher of the Republic of Artsakh have been forwarded to the Artsakh Police for review in accordance with the procedures established by criminal procedural legislation. This was announced by the General Prosecutor's Office of Artsakh.

“Since May 3 of this year, various media have published information regarding the destruction of the graveyards in the villages of Taghavard and Mets Tagher. Considering that the mentioned publications contain prima facie information about acts that constitute criminal offenses as per point 2 of part 2 of article 276 of the Artsakh Criminal Code (destruction, damage, or desecration of burial places or structures or objects related to the burial of the deceased or memorial ceremonies, motivated by national, racial, or religious hatred or enmity), the media publications have been forwarded to the Artsakh Police on May 7 for review in accordance with the procedures established by criminal procedural legislation,” the statement said.
